It’s Ag Appreciation Night on Thursday, Dec. 21 at Tundra Oil and Gas Place when the Oil Capitals host the Steinbach Pistons.

The game, which will be brought to you by Farm Credit Canada, will include the official unveiling of the Oil Caps ag-themed third jerseys, which will be auctioned off live after the game in the BASF Soil Zone. A portion of the proceeds will go to local 4-H clubs.

There will also be a special pre-game ceremony as well as live entertainment before, during and after the game by local band Prairie Joe.

“As an organization, we wanted to recognize all our ag partners this year and from the past,” said Jamie Hodson, director of business and hockey operations for the Oil Capitals. “We hope the community will come out and join us for a fun-filled evening and to set everyone off on their Christmas holidays on a great note.”

That night is also another “Thirsty Thursday” which means $3 for adult beverages! Meanwhile, Lake of the Woods Brewery, a game host earlier in the year, is also planning on making a return to Tundra Oil and Gas Place that night to sell their products. The bar will also stay open for one hour post game.

Puck drop for that night’s contest is slated for shortly after 7:30 p.m.

It should be a great night! Make sure to come on out!
