Oil Capitals acquire Gisti from Kings

The Virden Oil Capitals have acquired 18-year-old blueliner Darren Gisti and a fifth round MJHL Bantam Draft pick from the Dauphin Kings in exchange for forward McCullough Park and future considerations.

Gisti, a Winnipeg product, netted four goals and 11 points in 51 games for Dauphin last season.

Listed at six feet and 176 pounds, Gisti is a former member of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s Winnipeg Thrashers.

Park meanwhile, is an 18-year-old forward from Deloraine, Man., who spent the majority of this past season with the AAA midget Southwest Cougars.
