The Virden Oil Capitals are proud to announce the signing of Anaheim California product Parker Brakebill.
Brakebill is 5’11, 170 lbs and last year he play a total of 57 games, scored 18 goals, and assisted 20 making a total of 38 points.
“This signing means a lot to me as it has always been one of my goals to play at the Junior A level.” Stated Brakebill “The Oil Capitals are a great hockey club and I am beyond blessed to be able to start my junior career with them.”
“Parker is a 19 year old rookie, so he’s got an extra year of maturity and experience under his belt.” Stated Jamie Hodson, director of business and hockey operations. “He’s super excited to be up here. He a very versatile forward, he can play up the middle or up the wing. The opportunity to get a connection into Anaheim and Southern California with a player of this ability was pretty tough to pass up. He’s a great guy, his teammates and his coach always rave about him.”
Brakebill expressed his thoughts on moving from Anaheim California to Virden. “It’s going to be very difficult living 1500 miles away from home, and it may take some time getting use to but I’m sure I’ll feel right at home once I get on the ice with the team and the season gets going. Virden has a reputation for being a great hockey town and I cant wait to be a part of it.”
