OIL CAPS DEFAT TERRIERS IN FINAL EXHIBITION GAME

The Oil Caps and the Terriers met for their second and final exhibition game with the Oil Caps looking to redeem themselves after falling to the Terriers 4-3 on Sept.7th.

Virden carried the play early with Carson Buydens opening the scoring 4 minutes into the first. However, the Terriers answered back abruptly evening up the score 3 minutes after the Oil Caps opened the scoring. The Oil Caps regained the lead when Buydens found the net for his second of the night.

Heading into the second period Virden continued to push and made it 3-1 with Jack Oleksiuk at 1:02. Again, the Terriers responded quickly to create a one goal game.

In the third frame Oil Caps Braden Fischer scored a minute in, with the assist going to Logan Rands putting the game out of reach with an Oil Caps 4-2 win.

This concludes the Oil Caps exhibition schedule. The next time the Oil Caps take the ice will be Friday, Sept. 17th for the Valleyview Co-op HOME OPENER!
