The Oil Caps have named 1999 D Jayden Wojciechowski, 2000 F Josh Belcher, 2000 F Jack Einarson and 2000 F Brett Paddock as assistant captains for the 2019/2020 hockey season. They will join captain Kolten Kanaski to make up the Oil Capitals leadership group for the coming season.
Wojciechowski, Belcher and Einarson are all entering their third full seasons with the hockey club while Paddock is entering just his second season in Virden.
Head Coach and GM Tyson Ramsey was excited to announce his leadership group, “We are real happy to have finalized our leadership group for the coming season. All 4 guys are well respected by their teammates and will compliment Kolten very well in helping move our team forward in all aspects. We believe this group will work hard on and off the ice and they will be a big part of any success we enjoy as a team. We are very anxious to get the season underway this weekend.”
The Oil Caps 2019/2020 season will get underway this Friday in Selkirk and then Selkirk will return to Virden to take on the Oil Capitals in the Valleyview Co-op Home Opener on Saturday at Tundra Oil & Gas Place with both weekend games starting at 7:30.
