LETTER OF INTENT SIGNED

The Oil Caps are proud to announce the commitment of 2005 G Owen LaRocque for the 2022-2023 season.  The Wawanesa product has spent the last 2 seasons with the U18 Southwest Cougars.  After an abbreviated 2020-2021 season, LaRocque has appeared in 27 games this season and has posted a 2.68 goals against average to go along with a .912 save percentage.

Head coach and GM Tyson Ramsey had this to say about the signing:
“We are very happy to officially add Owen and his family to the Oil Caps organization.  Owen is an outstanding young man and is a very very talented goaltender.  He works extremely hard to improve his game and gives his teams an opportunity to win eveynight.  He will be a great addition to our goaltending depth moving forward and we feel he will grow to be one of the best goaltenders in the MJHL.  This is another great addition to our hockey club.”
