Oil Caps Acquire Spicer

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals have acquired 20 year old forward Colton Spicer from the Fort Frances Lakers of the SIJHL for future considerations. 

Spicer is in his 4th full season of Junior A Hockey, all of which were spent with his hometown team. 

The 6’2, 180 pound winger has appeared in 139 CJHL Games, scoring 69 goals and 58 assists in that span. He also racked up 198 penalty minutes.

Spicer was named the 12/13 SIJHL’s Most Improved Player and also won a SIJHL Championship with the Lakers last season. 

The former 12th round draft pick of the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves was teammates with current Oil Cap Nolan Ross last year.

The Caps will open up a two game home stand on Saturday vs Selkirk at 7:30.
