OIL CAPS ADD TO ROSTER

The Virden Oil Capitals have added forward Luke Robson (2004) from the Western Hockey League’s Seattle Thunderbirds.

Robson’s rights were acquired by the Oil Caps in the spring in a trade with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.  Robson is from Carberry, MB and has played 1 season in the MJHL with the Wolverines before spending last season in the WHL with the Edmonton Oil Kings.

He signed in Seattle last month and then was sent back to the Oil Caps earlier in the week.

GM and Head Coach Tyson Ramsey was excited to add Robson to his roster, “We are very happy to be able to add a player of Luke’s calibre to our hockey club”, said Ramsey.  “He is an elite skater that has a ton of skill and an ability to play in all situations for us.  He is a great faceoff guy and can score.  Not only is he a great player, he is an outstanding young man and we are very lucky to have him here.  We want to welcome Luke and his family to Virden.”
