Oil Caps Launch New Broadcast Initiative

September 16

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals are proud to announce that all 60 Regular Season Games and every playoff game will be broadcast live this season online via Game Time Radio.

Game Time Radio is based out of Saskatchewan and is the proud broadcast home of the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL as well.

Ray Walker will return to the booth for his 4th season behind the mic and will call every home game in 2015-2016. Marketing Director and former radio voice of the SJHL’s Melfort Mustangs, Branden Crowe will handle the play by play duties for road games.

“While Game Time Radio focuses on Saskatchewan Sports, we;ve already broadcast in Manitoba through the South Wast Senior Baseball League, and our mission to give amateur sports a chance to have a professional broadcast isn’t bound by any geographical borders” said Game Time Radio General Manager Scott Fitzsimmons.

Fans can listen online by clicking onto http://www.gametimeradio.ca or download the Game Time Radio App on your cell phone. You will also be able to visit the Oil Caps Broadcast Page on our website for up to date broadcast information.

“We connected with Branden through his time with the Melfort Mustangs. His professional approach to the team came across in Melfort and his experience on the marking side and with broadcasting made this a perfect fit for us” Fitszimmons added.

Each broadcast will feature 10 minute pre & post game shows, plus intermission features and interviews with players and staff.
