Returning Player Profile: Brett Paddock

Published by: Blake Friars

Over the whole month of August, we will be showcasing the returning players, with a Returning Player profile.

With camp soon around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to give the fans a little background on the 17 returning players from last year’s team.

The next returning profile is Brett Paddock

Paddock, 20, is a Brandon, MB native and is entering his third and final season with the Oil Capitals. In his first season the 6’1” forward chipped in for eight goals 26 assists for a 26-point clip.

In his second campaign he added to his goal total which climbed from 8 to 11 and saw he playmaking ability be put on full display. The assists rate jumped from 18 to 33 and he finished with 44 points, 7th best in team scoring.

With the absence of last season’s captain and the team leader in scoring Kolten Kanaski, the Oil Caps offence is going to need Paddock to sustain last year’s production.

Look for him to breakout in his final year of MJHL hockey.
