2 LETTER OF INTENTS SIGNED FOR 2023-2024 SEASON

The Virden Oil Capitals are very proud to announce the signing of forward Noel Englot (2005) and defenseman Wyatt Homeniuk (2005) of the Regina Pat Canadians to letters of intent for the 2023-2024 season. Englot, a big body that can skate and score, has played in 42 games for the Pat C’s and has 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points.  He will be a very nice addition to the young and talented forward group coming in next season.  Homeniuk is a big physical defenceman who defends hard and is very hard to play against.  He has suited up in 41 games and has 3 goals and 12 assists along with 42 penalty minutes.  Both players play big roles on a very very good team that has the ability to go very deep in the playoffs in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League.

GM and Head Coach Tyson Ramsey is very excited to add 2 very good players to next year’s group, “This is a very exciting day for our hockey club.  Noel and Wyatt have been players we have been keeping very close tabs on this season and when they decided to commit to our group for next season, we couldn’t be happier”, said Ramsey.  “In Noel, we get a player who works hard, plays a heavy game, and puts up points.  We feel like he has a tremendous upside and think that he can step in and contribute right away.  He is a very very good young player.  Wyatt plays an honest, hard-working game and makes life tough on opposition forwards.  He thinks the game very well and makes a great first pass.  He defends with a purpose and we really like the physicality he brings.  He is very very consistent for a young player and that is something that can be hard to find.  Both guys are coming from a very good program and we are very excited to welcome Noel and Wyatt along with their families to the Oil Caps organization.”
